Love Endures Forever

LOVE ENDURES ❤️

Almost nine years ago, Peggy and I met.

It was August of 2017, and we connected through an online dating site. Neither of us could have known then where that first meeting would lead.

But today, these words from a song I wrote many years ago seem especially meaningful:

“Even if we don’t know where it leads us…
Love, it never ends.”

The song is called Love Endures, based in part on 1 Corinthians 13—the “Love Chapter.” I originally wrote the song many years ago and revived it in 2015. Along the way, my friend John D’Elia contributed an eight-measure melodic and lyrical section that became the song’s bridge.

And there’s a little God-wink connected to this song that still makes me smile.

A few years ago, I posted the version I recorded with John on Facebook. The very next day, Peggy texted me:

“Hi, Love, I saw a sign that says, ‘Love Endures Forever.’ May my love for you always endure!”

Naturally, I thought she had seen my post and was responding to the song.

She hadn’t.

She had simply seen the sign and thought of me.

Coincidence? Maybe. But sometimes what looks like coincidence feels a lot more like a God-incidence.

Now, almost nine years after Peggy and I first met, those words mean even more to me.

Love endures. ❤️

Here’s my newly revisited version of the song. I hope it speaks to you—and perhaps reminds you of someone whose love has endured through the years.
